Introduction
Photographed at San
Pedro, Madre de Dios, Peru. The wing shape, markings, antennae and narrow labial
palpi suggest to me that this is probably a member of the
THYRIDIDAE, commonly known as Picture-wing moths. Possibly a member of
the genus
Dysodia
?
Habitats
Cloudforest, altitude 1400m.
Lifecycle
To be completed.
Adult behaviour
Attracted to tungsten lighting.
