Introduction
The genus Tongeia contains 14 described species, most of which are native to China or Tibet. The most widespread and abundant species is fischeri which is found in s.e. Europe and across most of temperate Asia to China, Korea and Japan.
Tongeia zuthus is endemic to the Tibet / Sichuan region.
Habitats

Lifecycle
The larval foodplants of zuthus are unknown. The only Tongeia species about which any information is available is fischeri, which feeds on Sedum and Orostachys ( Crassulaceae ).
