December

Sunday 19th December

It will come as no surprise, considering the bitterly cold weather of the past few weeks, that there have been no records of adult butterflies in the UK since 25th November, when a Red Admiral was seen flying at Kingston in Sussex.

Saturday 11th December

I returned today from a short trip to Ghana, during which time I was very fortunate to be able to study and photograph many of the beautiful butterflies for which this delightful west African country is so justly famous. I expect to be very busy during the next 4 or 5 weeks, but I hope to find time to be able to begin publishing photographs from the trip, together with species descriptions and a brief trip report in mid-late January.
