Monday 31st December
Amazingly the final butterfly sighting of the year came today from the cold north of England rather than the sunny south - a Red Admiral was reported from a garden in Derby today!
Sunday 23rd December
A Red Admiral was seen in flight today at Bracknell in Berkshire.
Saturday 22nd December
A Brimstone and a Red Admiral were seen flying today at Bourley Heath near Aldershot in Hants.
Friday 21st December
A Red Admiral was seen flying in a garden in Worthing, Sussex today.
Tuesday 18th December
A male Brimstone was seen in flight at Romsey in Hampshire today.
Monday 17th December
Red Admiral singletons were recorded today at Lewes and East Grinstead in Sussex.
Friday 7th December
A Brimstone and a Red Admiral were seen flying today in bright sunshine at Herriard in Hampshire.
Tuesday 4th December
A Peacock was seen today at Little Marlow gravel pit in Buckinghamshire, and another was reported from Northington Down in Hampshire.
